WEAAD in Whitehorse

A number of events will be held across Whitehorse to raise awareness of elder abuse including:
A flashmob in Box Hill Mall on June 13 with up to 50 seniors from Nunawading U3A & the local community “busting a move” to Uptown Funk. A video will be available shortly.
A Purple Morning Tea with a bilingual Cantanese speaker from ECCV will also be held at Box Hill Senior Citizens Centre on June 17 as well as a Purple High Tea for clients at Mountain View Cottage.
2500 purple ribbons will be distributed to Council staff & the local community.
The Whitehorse Women’s Forum on June 20 will focus on elder abuse awareness.
Box Hill Town Hall will be lit purple from June 15-21.
