U3A Surf Coast, together with Surf Coast Shire Council, is hosting an afternoon tea, to raise awareness about elder abuse, bringing people together in conversations on ageing.
Seniors Rights Victoria’s 2022 World Elder Abuse Awareness Day event, ‘Stir a Cuppa with Seniors’ Purple Tea, is a Conversation on Grandparenting. The discussion will be facilitated by Gerard Mansour, Commissioner for Senior Victorians and Ambassador for Elder Abuse Prevention, with guest speaker Dr Marlene Krasovitsky, Co-chair and Director of EveryAGE Counts campaign and a small panel of guests.

We encourage you to wear purple to acknowledge WEAAD, purple clothes, hair, hat, a purple brooch, purple flowers, purple nail polish, anything purple at all!
