Release of the ALRC Elder Abuse Issues Paper on WEAAD

The Australian Law Reform Commission is looking at Commonwealth laws and frameworks to safeguard older Australians from abuse, with a focus on financial institutions, superannuation, social security, living and care arrangements, and health. The ALRC will release an Issues Paper on 15 June 2016, to coincide with World Elder Abuse Awareness Day. The Issues Paper presents an overview of the matters the ALRC is looking at, and calls for people to respond to questions where we need more information, including relevant case studies. People targeted: individuals, advocacy groups, government organisations, NGOs and legal professionals with knowledge of elder abuse.
