Older Driver Road Safety Seminar – Lakes Entrance

In the lead-up to World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, East Gippsland Shire Council, Victoria Police, Lakes Entrance Senior Citizens, Opal Aged Care, RACV and Gippsland Lakes Community Health will conduct a free road safety session for older drivers and those who use or are considering using a motorised scooter as a means of mobility. The session will be held on 5 June 2017. Please RSVP (03) 5153 9500 by 31 May.
The session will cover: Road safety for older drivers; The importance of choosing a safe vehicle; The importance of being fit to drive; The impact of health and medications on driving; How to assess your own driving ability; Information about alternative transport options; How to plan for future mobility.
Participants will enjoy a free morning tea and a light lunch as they learn more about road safety in East Gippsland.
