Launch of Vietnamese Elder Abuse Prevention Resources

The Ethnic Communities Council of Victoria and Australian Vietnamese Women’s Association invite you to the launch of Vietnamese Elder Abuse Awareness Resources and afternoon tea on 16 June 2017. The resources address the issue of mistreatment of older people in the Vietnamese community and include a bilingual flyer and tools to support community education. Elder abuse is often hidden in ethnic communities, due to shame, the stigma of admitting that a family relationship has broken down and not knowing where to turn for help. This event will be helpful for health and community sector workers and members of the Vietnamese community.
