Empowerment and Positivity

In recognition of WEAAD we are inviting you to attend a FREE morning of
“Empowerment and positivity”.

World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (WEAAD) is acknowledged each year on 15 June to
highlight one of the worst manifestations of ageism and inequality in our society, elder
abuse.

Elder abuse is any act which causes harm to an older person and is carried out
by someone they know and trust.
If we ask questions rather than staying quiet and speak up when we see or hear
inappropriate actions that may result in elder abuse, together, we can create a
community where everyone is valued and respected throughout their lives.

Our morning of “Empowerment and positivity” will include a presentation from
Elizabeth Sidiropoulos, Leading Senior Constable, Multicultural, followed by an
activity to energise and inspire you with Peta Minter from Positive Music.

Delicious refreshments will be provided.
