Legal Matters and Ageing – A World Elder Abuse Day Forum

The Older Person’s Consultative Committee presents a morning forum that discusses Seniors’ rights. Presentations by Gary Ferguson from Seniors Rights Victoria and Jeni Lee, a Lawyer from St Kilda Legal Services, will provide you with information you need to be able to support your dignity and independence as you grow older. Includes Question and Answer time. Supported by the Access and Ageing HACC program.

We all want to be treated well and with respect. At this forum you will learn about; Protecting your rights, Preventing elder abuse, Where you can go for advice and support, Enduring Powers of Attorney and Medical Power of Attorney and Advanced Health Care Directives.You will also receive a copy of the free kit for making powers of attorney and guardianship: “Take Control” from Victoria Legal Aid.
